The Basics of Texas Hold'em Bonus Poker for Beginning Players

Texas Hold'em Bonus Poker is a table game based on traditional multi-player poker game of Texas Hold'em.

The Basics:
This game is played with a standard 52 card deck. The player wins if he makes a 5 card poker hand that beats the dealers.

How to play:
Each player must make an ante bet of 1 unit and may make an optional bonus bet. Once the player makes a bet and the dealer call "No More Bets", the player and the dealer are dealt two cards face down.

After the player views his cards, he has the option to fold and lose his ante bet or place a flop wager equal to two times the amount of the ante wager.

If the player continues, the dealer will burn a card and deal three cards face up to the area designated for the flop. The flop cards are community cards that may be used by all players and the dealer to complete their hands.

A player then have the option to bet the turn in an amount equal to the ante or check (not place a wager). The dealer will burn a card and deal a fourth community card face up to the area designated for the turn. The player now has another option to place a river wager in an amount equal to the ante or check. The dealer burns a card and deals a fifth community card face up in the area designated for the river.

The dealer will turn his or her two cards face up and determine the best five-card poker hand using any combination of his two cards and the five community cards. The dealer will then turn each player's two cards face up, evaluate the best five-card hand using the player's two cards and the five community cards and compare that hand to the dealer's five card hand.

If the dealer's five card poker hand beats the player's hand, the dealer collects the ante, flop, turn and river wagers. If the player hand beats the dealer's hand, the dealer will pay all ante, flop, turn and river wagers. Ante wagers will only be paid if the player's winning hand is a flush or higher. Winning ante, flop, turn and river wagers are paid 1-to-1. If the player's hand and the dealer's hand are of equal rank, the hand is a push.

Bonus Bet Payout

A separate side bet may be wagered on the player's starting hand. If a player's hole cards are a pair, A-K, A-Q, or A-J, the player wins the side bet according to the pay table. Winning optional bonus wagers are paid after all other wagers and this bonus bet id paid even if the player does not beat the dealer.
